A Presidents Weekend From the USC Ski & Snowboard Club
Thursday, February 18th, 2010Abe Kislevitz and his USC crew always kill in the parks and the editing suite. This installment in no different. Filmed during the sunny and warm Presidents Day weekend, the video was shot at Main Park at Mammoth as well as June Mountain. As you may have heard, the parks and pipes are going off right now.
“June Mountain.. good tall down rails, jump on jump off butter pad, wrecking ball, satelite dish, propane tanks, and fun 35- 40 foot jumps,” writes Dakota from Wave Rave.
“The pipe is amazing too right now. Better than Mammoth’s pipe in my opinion. Speaking of Mammoth.. SOUTH PARK IS SO GOOD.. pole jam to wall ride.. good jump lines.. medium-sized step up that makes you smile like a boy staring at fireworks. the jump line is so smooth and fun, good times kids. good times.”
Medium-sized step up that makes you smile like a boy staring at fireworks? Couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
But, there’s still a lot of love for the pipes at Mammoth.
“The super pipe is about as good as it gets right now. You have to wait until about mid-day until it softens up a little, but once it does you can’t beat it,” writes Cory from Wave Rave.
June or Mammoth? Doesn’t matter. They’re both so good. And close enough to hit in the same day. So come on up and get on out there, the getting’s good.
